Hello my lovelies! <3
Today I thought I’d share what I eat for breakfast! I have 2 main things I eat in the morning. What I choose usually depends on what mood I’m in or how much time I have :)
Let’s face it. On school mornings we’re always in a bit of a hurry and we don’t have much time to cook up anything fancy. On those days I eat oats :D
I use the following recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon oats (rolled or glutenfree)
- 1/2 cup hazelnut milk
- 1 tablespoon shredded coconut
- 1 apple (depends on the size of course)
I also use other toppings than these, but the mentioned ones above are my usual choices.
Strawberries, goji berries, banana or kiwi are great choices as well! Any fruit basically. You can also add nuts if that's what floats your boat ;)
Here are a few pictures of the different toppings I've used with my morning oats :D
This is my usual breakfast. Oats with shredded coconut and a small apple. I usually eat this on school days since it's so quick and easy to make.
Here I used an apple, shredded coconut and goji berries. So delicious! :D
Here I just used shredded coconut and goji berries (we didn't have any apples left) Seriously. Goji berries are like my addiction!
And here is the last picture of some of my topping combinations! Shredded coconut, grapes and gojiberries :D
If I'm more in the mood for something salty and rich on protein, I make bacon and eggs.
Just remember to drain the fat from the bacon once it's cooked! My parents buy the type of bacon which is already cut into small bite-size pieces. It makes it a whole lot easier to drain the fat. If you make bacon strips then put them on a piece of paper towel. I always make sure to put one on top of the bacon as well.
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- Bacon (about a handful of if you measure after the bite-size ones)
- 1½ eggs
- 1 small onion or half a big onion
- 2 - 3 cloves of garlic (I hope that's what 1 piece of garlic means haha :P )
First put the bacon on a pan on your stove. To be honest it doesn't really matter what the heat is at. I just use 6 out of 6 (highest) but I add the bacon while the pan is still heating up. After the bacon has released most of its fat, drain it and then add the chopped up onion and garlic (chop it to your own liking). Cook the onions and garlic with the bacon until they're a little bit see-through.
If you'd rather cook bacon strips instead, you just cook the onions and garlic with a little bit of oil on a seperate pan.
Then cook the eggs however you like them served after finishing the bacon. I always go for scrambled eggs :)
I never season my eggs with salt and pepper since the bacon is salty enough for me. But you can of course do that as well. It isn't exactly a difficult dish to master :P
There is really only one picture to show of this since it doesn't really change appearance :P Sometimes I take about 5-8 almonds on the side. Healthy fats :)
Last but not least I like to eat my banana and oat pancakes for breakfast. I have already posted about them earlier. Here's a link that will take you to the recipe.
Ain't this a cheeky picture?! Just look at it! :D
So those are my usual breakfast choices. If you have any recipes or other things you eat for breakfast, feel free to share them below in the comments section! I'd love to try out some new things :)
That's it for today. Peace out.
Love,
Wolfie <3
